We would like to thank our donors and volunteers for their support in our effort to provide personal protective equipment for our local healthcare and essential workers.
Thanks to generous donations from local businesses and individuals and countless volunteer hours, we were able to produce more than 5,500 face shields. In addition to accomplishing our goal of supplying protective equipment for local hospitals, we have been able to provide for local pharmacies, first responders, dentists, nursing home and funeral home workers, and a host of other frontline workers. In partnership with Southern Tier PPE, a group of volunteers with 3D printers, we have been producing 3D printed face shields to generate a surplus of equipment in preparation for another outbreak.
Thanks again to the wonderful people who have made this possible! Your kindness has made an enormous impact on our community. See the list of donors and volunteers who made this project possible.
Please note: CCLD Makerspace is temporarily closed to the public.
CCLD Makerspace is a free community space at the Steele Memorial Library in Elmira, NY where people of all ages come together to create and learn about technology and crafts. Use your imagination and our equipment to make your creative ideas come alive.
Our makerspace is a walk-in space, free and open to the public. While use of the space and most of the tools is free, we charge a minimal fee for materials to cover our cost and the maintenance of equipment.
